Sheila Byenkya

Head of Transformation & Project Management

Sheila Byenkya joined ZEP-RE in 2018 and currently serves as the Head of Transformation and Project Management. In this role, Sheila oversees execution of the company’s 1B strategy including leading collaboration of multi-functional initiatives across the organisation and is charged with managing the strategic planning process for the business as well as tracking.

Sheila is a certified project management professional and holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Makerere University, and a Master of Business Administration from Edinburgh Business School. Sheila started her career at Hima Cement Limited where she held several technical and commercial management roles including the set up and development of the first concrete business for Hima Cement in Rwanda. As Capacity Increase Project Leader, Sheila led an expansion project that successfully doubled the production capacity of Hima Cement.

Sheila has over 18 years of experience in commercial and business management in the building material and insurance industries in the region.
