Bernard Katambala

Regional Director, Eastern Africa Hub

Bernard Katambala is ZEP-RE’s Regional Director, Eastern Africa Hub and has been with the company since 2015. He oversees development and underwriting business in the Company’s East Africa Markets. Bernard is also responsible for the Engineering Centre of Competence in the company. Prior to joining the company, he was the Regional Manager of East Africa with Munich Reinsurance Company, having worked in various markets including the USA and Mauritius over a period of more than 13 years.

Bernard has over 16 years’ experience in reinsurance and about 2 years in engineering construction. He holds an honours degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Nairobi and an advanced diploma in Insurance from the Chartered Insurance Institute of United Kingdom. Bernard is a Chartered Insurer and a certified engagement and productivity coach.
